Car Line Duty

This is our safety patrol. Every year, our fifth grade class has the pleasure of helping our younger students in and out of cars and safely in the school building.

Competetive Sports Teams

While SJPII students receive physical education instruction at least once a week and while there are athletics-based clubs at our school for the non-competitive athletics enthusiast, SJPII also maintains competitive teams in a number of sports. There are too many to list here on our Clubs and Activities page, so interested readers should visit our Athletics page for more information.

Participation in some SJPII clubs is limited to select grades and by number of open seats. If your student is interested in a club, please contact the school at
(910) 692-6241.

Not every club or activity is offered during every school year.

Drama Club

The SJPII Catholic School Drama Club hits the ground running every school year in preparation for a full-length spring musical. A summer seminar introduces students to the production’s characters, storyline, music, and choreography. The drama club will hold auditions during the first few months of school, and cast rehearsals begin shortly thereafter. Student volunteers will join the stage crew later in the fall. One to two afternoons a week becomes devoted to show preparation. There is not likely a busier club on our campus!

Please contact Ms. Haley or Mrs. Holton to learn more about our drama club.

LEGO Robotics, Jr.

Students in grades two and three meet weekly. We will focus on the fundamentals of engineering as we learn about design and code to create unique solutions to real-world problems. Our goal is to learn and have fun. Coding experience is not necessary.

The 2022–2023 theme for LEGO Robotics, Jr. is "Superpowered." Students will explore where energy comes from and how it is distributed, stored, and used, employing their creativity to work and innovate for a better energy future. In 2022–2023, the FIRST® LEGO® League Explore team (LEGO Robotics, Jr. for short) meets simultaneous to the older grades' LEGO Robotics Club, garnering interaction with students more experienced in this activity. Contact Ms. Girard with questions.

Masculine Genius and Feminine Genius

These clubs are for our 7th and 8th grade students. These clubs discuss the teachings of St. John Paul II, referencing the letter he wrote as Pope to women.
